Karachi Stock Exchange Soars 2% Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

The Karachi stock exchange was up by 1.9% today after a heightened decline in the previous session. The index fell by 7.6% to 101,598.91 yesterday, leading to the suspension of trading activity for one hour.
As of 10:10 am IST, KSE-100 clocked 105,467.7, up 1,940.9 points or 1.9%. The gain can be attributed to cautious trading by market participants. This comes after the equity markets in the country reported heavy selling, majorly triggered by India’s Operation Sindoor.
Notably, relations between India and Pakistan have been strained since the tragic Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people.
